R alphaToCoverage (cvar)


Allow multisample antialiasing to function on alphatested surfaces without modifying the depth sort.


At the console type…

r_alphaToCoverage [boolean]


  • [boolean]
    • 0 - Don’t use Alpha-to-Coverage.
    • 1 - Enable Alpha-to-Coverage when r_multisamples is used.

CVAR_MODIFIED X set when the variable is modified


This CVar resolves an issue where partially transparent textures like grates do not render properly with anti-aliasing enabled.
