Makaveli@Posted: Sat Apr 30, 2005 5:44 pm    Post subject: : I don't know what you guys mean about not asking permission. I emailed fly and he said yes, I tryed to email neowar's old email address because I couldn't find his new one, and I don't know jack's email. I never planned on getting it out without their permission.

xPreatorianx@Posted: Sat Apr 30, 2005 7:58 pm    Post subject: : Well all I got to say on the whole situation is get permission from the mod leaders or the model maker if he says release it to the public release that is all dont sit here and make a big deal out of it it is a good model if the guy does not want u to release it dont. But if u got permission from a guy higher up from him then release if not then just go about your business im sure other guys in this community can make a model just as good or better and release it in a map or just release it.

Is anyone interested in downloading this puppy?

The one problem is that it hasn't been animated, our team didn't get around to completing that when the mod was unplugged.

Makaveli; you better take this up with Neowar himself before proceeding with your intended actions or you could find yourself in some serious trouble.

So your saying the Delphi I was mapping, for a mod that no longer exists, shouldn't be released to the public? Or is that just another way of asking for people to not release work of your's with out permission? (which is fine, btw).

I very much plan on releasing the Delphi map that was for Hell on Earth mod. When ever it's done Razz

rich_is_bored@Posted: Sat Apr 30, 2005 7:49 am    Post subject: : I don't understand the rational behind mod teams witholding assets when their mod fails.

Especially since we're talking about content that is game ready. It just seems like a waste of time considering that a lot of effort was put into making assets work with Doom 3 specifically, only for these assets never to see the light of day.

I can understand people wanting credit for their work and how often times when people do give away assets they don't recieve any credit.

But seriously, we're all making things here and nobody is getting paid for it.

If people are talented enough to produce assets that are top notch like this model here then certainly they won't have any trouble jumping on board another mod team and getting their work out their and noticed.

That's what you all want credit for anyways right?

Kristus@Posted: Sat Apr 30, 2005 4:32 pm    Post subject: : As I see it it's up to neowar weather he want to release it or not. Makaveli who only were on the HoE team as a forum moderator (IIRC), shouldn't (and doesn't) have any right to release Neowars models. Whatever reason Neowar may have for not wanting to release his model, is entirely up to him weather they are valid or not.
