Ya, there will be a couple of spots where some systems will choke briefly, but I don't have one of those systems and didn't have to consider it. I don't play video games, and can actually list the names of those I have in less than 30 seconds, so I am not familiar with what makes good gameplay. Duck Nukem was created basically for three reasons: To generate some interest in the engine modding scene by keeping it light, to create a repository for my tests from learning how to make custom monsters, and last, and most importantly, to MEET THE DEADLINE I said I would meet (thus, there was time management to consider). I am one man with a bit of spare time, and this is what I was able to get accomplished in the time I allotted for it. I like to work that way. Consider this version of Duck Nukem an alpha, with the full story and layout in place. Now, allow me another 6 months to pretty it up and optimize it. Or allow me a team to do it in a couple of months. It won't happen, but pretend it would. Okay, the humor will still suck, but otherwise... |
