how many tris are there in characters like voss, strauss and the rest of the rhino squad?

Most of the character models are in pak003.pk4. Open the .md5mesh model files with a normal text editor, add all the "numtris" values within a .md5mesh (there may be more than one "numtris" line) and you'll get the triangle count. :)
