H O L Y S H I T
The final Doom3 version that came out appeared to be a retarded crap. This
mod is here to change things. Play the way you want not the way ID wanted
you to "play". No more irritating monsters that push you to the corner
and hit your hud, no more boring pda with shitty stories about AI that
saw a "scary" polygon. Imagine you're a Sam Fisher and stalk your enemies
or use the devastating force to kill them like Rambo.

features:
#video/audio options change applied immediately in-game
#all cabinets are now unlocked so you wont have to listen to those shit stories
#cool map launcher in main menu
#new weapon sounds
#new explosion sounds
#new weapon textures
#new monster sounds
#new monster textures
#new explosion sounds
#tweaked pda so now it loads faster on slower pc's
#new main menu
#clicking exit quits the game instantly
#removed intro videos [you have seen them a million times anyways]
#removed half of the badly designed monsters to boost gameplay
#removed some lame pentagram decals
#added a shoulder lamp that is allways on [code was borrowed from
ambient light mod]
#revrant now fires no guided rockets and it improves the gameplay
dramatically
#increased stamina
#removed the stupid monster teleportation fx
#replaced monster dissolve to hide
#added new crosshair
#grenades now explode on contact
#imp and hellnight doesnt throw fireballs anymore
#zombie commando and vagary now runs slower

i just tried it, it's 100% legit.

re: regulator

it seems to mess with the level scripts? I tried part of the cpu level & kept getting errors with strings & scripts in he console. Love the way the plasma works now though. :D

Well no, the level sripts are left as they are, only it complains that some monsters are removed now. And in some levels the doors are locked like in Central Processing [CPU Boss] and in some are unlocked [Administration] so you can enter the room where swan and bodyguard is. I will have to remove those locked doors probably. And plasma weapon punches enemies somehow, I tried to find whats causing this, but could not find and left as it is. Also forgot to mention theres blood splat optimization now when you hit monster with a gun.

Yes they dont have ranged attack anymore, because it was planned lol obvious. And some monsters walk/attack slower to improve the gameplay, because you can evade and reload now. :D

What I meant was thats what I was trying to achieve. To stop some monsters attacking from far away, because I thought pauses in combat give more depth to gameplay. 8)

Hellnight is not physically challenged, he can chase the player too, you know. And pistol is not the perfect weapon you could use for him unless you're patient. :D

What he is saying is that if there is anything that prevents the Hellknight from standing next to you you could take him out with the pistol provided you have enough ammo. Personally I would do it as I would rather use up pistol ammo than anything else.

So whats wrong with using pistol against Hellnight? Besides, most areas where Hellnight spawns are pretty small to evade, so you will run around and there is a big change of getting smashed by him if you use pistol and don't take him out quickly.

the hk (no demons actuatly) doesn't lead his shots, so it doesn't matter if he can fire long range or not. If you can manuaver, you can kill him prety easy with any weapon.

But its annoying as hell if monster can fire from all ranges and especially if the game has small areas and doors get locked for no reason. If its annoying that means the gameplay suffers.
