Open that into 2.41 and retry to export, or failing that try using Goofo's script which you can get from my place. It might just be a compatability problem with 2.42 and the old USM script.

Blender ver 2.42

Python Up to date with newist files

I used the Unreal and the Goofos ASE exporter and the unreal export as shown on the image on the first post. You can look on the error right there on the image.

I am trying to export a tommy gun as a .ase but no luck with that with any plugins or scripts...

Im pretty sure I do have the export. There is no error. I will have to check again this weekend becuase I have another blender at my other house with all the files I want to use for Doom3. I mite have taken your importer insted. I was sick that weekend so I was not really up and %100 on it. My crapy computer at the house I have right now is lucky enoufe to even be able to run blender.

Indeed, Unreal ASE exporter fails to export mesh in CVS Blender. But there is nothing wrong with script. They changed Python API again :/
What you need to do is to add vertex color to your mesh in Blender and then everything is gonna be good :)
