I found it pretty surprising - I always thought I'm oh so visual, but now I start to understand why I dislike people who tend to choose wrong words while meaning the right thing.

The test often presents you different questions, so I did it three times. Results:
1.: 66% left, 66% auditory
2.: 58% left, 75% visual
3.: 77% right, 78% visual

I admit that 2nd/3rd run was a bit quicker and perhaps more spontaneous, but I cannot say I answered "against my brain".
Now the funny thing is that the personal evaluations for ALL three results were quite appealing in the sense that I could indentify with many or most of the stuff.

anyways, i always thought myself to be strongly left brained. mostly because I have olmost no usage of my left hand/arm and left leg. that is, its not like i'm paralyzed or anything actually physically. its things like kicking a ball with my left leg is near impossible to control. or if i were to throw a ball with my left arm. It just feels quite unnatural.
Of course, my personality traits would say otherwise.

I might take it agian when i'm more tired and confused.

Similarly, while anti-war folks like myself were unable to prevent the Bush administration from carrying out their plans, it was amazing to have the overwhelming majority of the world, let alone hundreds of thousands in the US, protest a war before it even broke out. I'm a right brainer who is more auditory. What was scarey was the assessment at the end. It was really accurate! I guess it makes sense since my left eye is dominate!

I took this braintest and it gave an inaccurate result. I am clearly a visually oriented person yet I am somehow also stikingly auditory as well.

I've been diagnosed by many doctors and they all came up with the same conclusion. I think this little fad thing is a piece of junk.

I apologize for my outburst. It's just that, there was this one class in school I had where the teacher wanted to determine the best approach to the teaching of each individual student. I was gauged as an auditory student.

I know that not the same results have been achieved each time I used this test.

I was 33 percent Visual and 67 percent auditory.

And my right hemisphere was dominating over my left.

Seems that I'm a more "left visual" dude :wink:

1.: 66% left, 66% auditory
2.: 58% left, 75% visual

I admit that 2nd/3rd run was a bit quicker and perhaps more spontaneous, but I cannot say I answered "against my brain".
Now the funny thing is that the personal evaluations for ALL three results were quite appealing in the sense that I could indentify with many or most of the stuff.

anyways, i always thought myself to be strongly left brained. mostly because I have olmost no usage of my left hand/arm and left leg. that is, its not like i'm paralyzed or anything actually physically. its things like kicking a ball with my left leg is near impossible to control. or if i were to throw a ball with my left arm. It just feels quite unnatural.
Of course, my personality traits would say otherwise.

I might take it agian when i'm more tired and confused.

waccy-baccy - it's so widely used in this country, it's ridiculous. We still have some strict laws, but they are getting more liberal about it. You can now be caught smoking or in the possession of maybe 2 or 3 joints and you'll just get a warning - they won't even confiscate your stuff.

Dunno about Europe, but drinking where I live is a big passtime and a source of jokes of the variety of "I got so hammered last night I....." type thing.

I tried an IQ test whilst inebriated once and suffice to say, I went down from the 130's to the 90's

It's pretty much unprecedented for such a mainstream partyline-toting paper to have to acknowledge world public opinion so blatantly. Usually it's marginalized to a much greater extent. Similarly, while anti-war folks like myself were unable to prevent the Bush administration from carrying out their plans, it was amazing to have the overwhelming majority of the world, let alone hundreds of thousands in the US, protest a war before it even broke out. Recall that it took several years and the deaths of thousands of US troops before people cared about or protested Viet Nam.

I'm a right brainer who is more auditory. What was scarey was the assessment at the end. It was really accurate! I guess it makes sense since my left eye is dominate!

I took this braintest and it gave an inaccurate result. I am clearly a visually oriented person yet I am somehow also stikingly auditory as well.

I've been diagnosed by many doctors and they all came up with the same conclusion. I think this little fad thing is a piece of junk.

I apologize for my outburst. It's just that, there was this one class in school I had where the teacher wanted to determine the best approach to the teaching of each individual student. I was gauged as an auditory student.

I know that not the same results have been achieved each time I used this test.

I was 33 percent Visual and 67 percent auditory.

And my right hemisphere was dominating over my left.

eyes open lamp is covered by my finger , left eye lamp is visiable , right eye it is covered by my finger

looks like some interesting stuff on that site..! All this stuff reminds me of a 'compatability test' I did when at school as it was used to guide you in the direction of a possible career, at the time I could have been a park ranger (which I quite liked the idea of being..!)

I often think it's funny that although these things are devised as 'general guide' to personality it amazing how we all seem to fit into one or more catagories/pigeon holes when we tend to think we so individual, very interesting stuff imho.. :idea:

Park ranger? Hey - why not! At least you can walk around with a dog and a gun which is always considered as pretty manly.

haha im split 50/50 on left and right. but im much more auditory than visual... about 75 audio and 25 visual (i dont really remember the exact percentages for the audio/visual... but who really cares)

i assume most people in the mod community are split about 50/50 as it takes both a mathematical side aswell as an artistic side.

I guess mod community people are more split like 50/50 id software/epic rather than auditory/visual

Well, I dislike the engine smehow, but I think they deliver with their games.

The target audience may differ from id software...

ive play ut and i dont like that game. Not really becuase of the engine... its just a boring game.. and it give me headaches... All those fastpaced fps shooters give me headaches.

So you should do well with good old and slow Doom3.

Interesting side note - I went clay pigeon shooting the other day for the first time (never really shot a gun before) - there's a dominant eye in shooting and I wonder whether it relates to your left / right brain hemispheres ?

To test, point at a distant object - even across the room, as long as it's over 10 feet away (the further the better)
Now, close your right eye - does the object you are pointing at 'move' ?
Close your right and open your left - does the object you are pointing at 'move' ?

Whichever eye that doesn't see the object move, if your dominant eye and one you should always use when aiming.

I really like this little test as if you do it over a period of time you can see a pattern arise depending on what you're doing etc...

audio/visual = 15.4/84.6
left/right = 47.8/52.2

I can't remeber my exaxt details, but I've been as "audio" as you're visual.

I found it pretty surprising - I always thought I'm oh so visual, but now I start to understand why I dislike people who tend to choose wrong words while meaning the right thing.

I'll give it a try some time later in the future.

eyes open lamp is covered by my finger , left eye lamp is visiable , right eye it is covered by my finger

Left brain 68.2 %

Right Brain 31.8 %

Auditory 50%
Visual 50%

anybody else have that high of percent for left brain?

the eyes are connected to both hemispheres ! It wont change much if you close one.

My "balanced" Brain:
