We are pleased to present the winners of id Software's first Community Map Pak contest. We would like to thank all of our contestants for their time and dedication to the Quake 4 community. It has been a pleasure watching mappers turn up the heat trying to produce some of their best work in a limited amount of time. We were incredibly pleased to have received 34 submissions from 25 map authors and our only regret in concluding this contest is that there are many wonderful levels by talented designers who have not made it into the pak. The CMP will be available soon, distributed inside the upcoming Quake 4 1.4 Beta 2 Patch.

Without further ado, our 15 winning entries:

Hey, you did end up in Madison, just across town. :P nice!

Haven't had a chance to poke around at these yet but looks like there's some good stuff to be found. Looking forward to checking them out; congrats to the winners.

Does anyone know how often Id has mappping contests? When should I expect to see the next one?

kat@Posted: Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:14 pm :
Very rarely is the answer to that.

Yes, I think it was the first time id made something like this.
