Hey, guys, I just wanted to show off a mod I've been working on lately. Here are a list of features and a few screenshots. By the way, the map is currently a placeholder. I'm currently in negotations with a high profile mapper to help with this project. This is a very rough and very early version (I only have ~1 minute of gameplay at this point).

* Dragon's Lair (tm) style gameplay with a health system
* Full cinematic with all custom animation
* Seamless transitions between animation cycles
* Around 20 minutes in length (your mileage may vary)
* Full storyline (obviously)
* Checkpoint system
* Added gore

I haven't come up with a name for the mod yet. I was thinking of Zombies' Lair in homage to Dragon's Lair. Also, if you are curious as of what I have done in the past, check the the Classic Doom for Doom 3 cinematics or a test machinima film I did a while back entitled Episodes: Episode 1.

I'll update this thread once I have cooler stuff to show. I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point. :)

You should remake the start of Shen Mue set in the Doom 3 universe - Doom's father (Sarge) can get kill by Betruger at the start, and steal his soul cube. You can then waste time talking to scientists and pressing right and left during a cinematic sequence in order to beat up some sailors (imps? ;x).

I already have the story outlined and the script written a little past the first checkpoint.

Okay, we're getting there. I decided to extend the demo another half chapter while I have been waiting on the maps to be finalized, so you'll get both a gameplay sequence and a story sequence. There's not much work left to do. :)

Update: Still working on it.

I've exported all the demo entities.

I lost the level designer, so I am having to create the map. I'm basically at the point where I am polishing each room of the level at a time. There really isn't much left to do after I complete the level, except minor gore additions here and there and possibly a credits sequence.

The download size will probably be ~80 to 100 megs once it's all said and done.

Hey, guys, I just wanted to show off a mod I've been working on lately. Here are a list of features and a few screenshots. By the way, the map is currently a placeholder. I'm currently in negotations with a high profile mapper to help with this project. This is a very rough and very early version (I only have ~1 minute of gameplay at this point).

* Dragon's Lair (tm) style gameplay with a health system
* Full cinematic with all custom animation
* Seamless transitions between animation cycles
* Around 20 minutes in length (your mileage may vary)
* Full storyline (obviously)
* Checkpoint system
* Added gore

I haven't come up with a name for the mod yet. I was thinking of Zombies' Lair in homage to Dragon's Lair. Also, if you are curious as of what I have done in the past, check the the Classic Doom for Doom 3 cinematics or a test machinima film I did a while back entitled Episodes: Episode 1.

I'll update this thread once I have cooler stuff to show. I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point. :)

You should remake the start of Shen Mue set in the Doom 3 universe - Doom's father (Sarge) can get kill by Betruger at the start, and steal his soul cube. You can then waste time talking to scientists and pressing right and left during a cinematic sequence in order to beat up some sailors (imps? ;x).

Okay, we're getting there. I decided to extend the demo another half chapter while I have been waiting on the maps to be finalized, so you'll get both a gameplay sequence and a story sequence. There's not much work left to do. :)

Update: Still working on it.

I've exported all the demo entities.

I lost the level designer, so I am having to create the map. I'm basically at the point where I am polishing each room of the level at a time. There really isn't much left to do after I complete the level, except minor gore additions here and there and possibly a credits sequence.

The download size will probably be ~80 to 100 megs once it's all said and done.

I haven't come up with a name for the mod yet. I was thinking of Zombies' Lair in homage to Dragon's Lair. Also, if you are curious as of what I have done in the past, check the the Classic Doom for Doom 3 cinematics or a test machinima film I did a while back entitled Episodes: Episode 1.

I'll update this thread once I have cooler stuff to show. I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point. :)

You should remake the start of Shen Mue set in the Doom 3 universe - Doom's father (Sarge) can get kill by Betruger at the start, and steal his soul cube. You can then waste time talking to scientists and pressing right and left during a cinematic sequence in order to beat up some sailors (imps? ;x).

Okay, we're getting there. I decided to extend the demo another half chapter while I have been waiting on the maps to be finalized, so you'll get both a gameplay sequence and a story sequence. There's not much work left to do. :)

Update: Still working on it.

I've exported all the demo entities.

I lost the level designer, so I am having to create the map. I'm basically at the point where I am polishing each room of the level at a time. There really isn't much left to do after I complete the level, except minor gore additions here and there and possibly a credits sequence.

The download size will probably be ~80 to 100 megs once it's all said and done.

Update: Still working on it.

I've exported all the demo entities.

I lost the level designer, so I am having to create the map. I'm basically at the point where I am polishing each room of the level at a time. There really isn't much left to do after I complete the level, except minor gore additions here and there and possibly a credits sequence.

The download size will probably be ~80 to 100 megs once it's all said and done.

I'll update this thread once I have cooler stuff to show. I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point. :)

You should remake the start of Shen Mue set in the Doom 3 universe - Doom's father (Sarge) can get kill by Betruger at the start, and steal his soul cube. You can then waste time talking to scientists and pressing right and left during a cinematic sequence in order to beat up some sailors (imps? ;x).

Hey, guys, I just wanted to show off a mod I've been working on lately. Here are a list of features and a few screenshots. By the way, the map is currently a placeholder. I'm currently in negotations with a high profile mapper to help with this project. This is a very rough and very early version (I only have ~1 minute of gameplay at this point).

* Dragon's Lair (tm) style gameplay with a health system
* Full cinematic with all custom animation
* Seamless transitions between animation cycles
* Around 20 minutes in length (your mileage may vary)
* Full storyline (obviously)
* Checkpoint system
* Added gore

I haven't come up with a name for the mod yet. I was thinking of Zombies' Lair in homage to Dragon's Lair. Also, if you are curious as of what I have done in the past, check the the Classic Doom for Doom 3 cinematics or a test machinima film I did a while back entitled Episodes: Episode 1.

I'll update this thread once I have cooler stuff to show. I'm just trying to gauge interest at this point. :)

You should remake the start of Shen Mue set in the Doom 3 universe - Doom's father (Sarge) can get kill by Betruger at the start, and steal his soul cube. You can then waste time talking to scientists and pressing right and left during a cinematic sequence in order to beat up some sailors (imps? ;x).

Haha, it's more fun than that! :) I never played Shemue, though...

I already have the story outlined and the script written a little past the first checkpoint.

The demo is ALMOST ready to go (Chapter 1A). I'm waiting on the final amount of polish from the guy who is working on the map. In the meantime, I've been working on other aspects of the mod.

Okay, we're getting there. I decided to extend the demo another half chapter while I have been waiting on the maps to be finalized, so you'll get both a gameplay sequence and a story sequence. There's not much work left to do. :)

Update: Still working on it.

I've exported all the demo entities.

I lost the level designer, so I am having to create the map. I'm basically at the point where I am polishing each room of the level at a time. There really isn't much left to do after I complete the level, except minor gore additions here and there and possibly a credits sequence.

The download size will probably be ~80 to 100 megs once it's all said and done.
