Awesome; i remember visiting the pixologic site earlier this week and saw a notice saying the site was down until Zbrush 3 came out or something, and I was a bit blown away.

Cuz i mean, after movies like PotC there already wasn't a real end to what that program can do :D

I've been waiting on this update to release for a quite a while. Now that it's finally here I can't get it! Well I am going to get it, but it's taking forever. They're delaying the e-mails they send to people with the download link because they don't want to flood the servers or something. I just can't wait to download my free update :D.

Dinky@Posted: Wed May 23, 2007 12:55 am :
I FINALLY recieved my download link for ZBrush 3 from Pixologic after some problems recieving the e-mail (I never got it). But now that I have it I'm pretty happy. So far I really can notice a HUGE performance difference, ZBrush 3 runs amazingly with tons of more polies than before. I just installed it, and I haven't had that much time to check out the new stuff, but right now I am about to check out the new "Poly-Painting" tool, and see if I can transfer it to my UV Map.

Here is a screenshot I took of ZBrush3 Running with one of my models in the viewport ^_^.

just got myself the upgrade. Haven't tinkered with it much, but the performance upgrade is great. My strokes came out really bad in 2 so I gave up on the app. But everything is running extremely great with 3. Now I just gotta relearn it :P

there is a "compact" GUI version in Zbrush 3 that it's much more similar to Mudbox simple interface.. You only have the sculpt related stuff all in the view..

has anyone tried out the polypainting? It sounded really interesting alternative to photoshoping the texture.

Yeah I've been messing around with it and I have to say it's a really great tool. My favorite thing about it is if you have a problem with your UV Map even after all the painting work you've already done, you can go back to Maya (or whatever you use), re-edit your UV map, then take it back to ZBrush and replace the old UV Map with the fixed new one, then re-apply the color with no problems.

I've already had to do that . You can also get some pretty decent skin out of it. Just check out what this guy did, he claims it was all PolyPaint (make sure and click the link to the hi-res image, it looks really good): http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showth ... p?t=048743

Just check out what this guy did, he claims it was all PolyPaint (make sure and click the link to the hi-res image, it looks really good): http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showth ... p?t=048743

I've been waiting on this update to release for a quite a while. Now that it's finally here I can't get it! Well I am going to get it, but it's taking forever. They're delaying the e-mails they send to people with the download link because they don't want to flood the servers or something. I just can't wait to download my free update :D.

Does anyone have a better gui script? Because zbrush's gui is getting on my nerves a bit.

Rayne@Posted: Tue Jul 24, 2007 3:11 pm :
there is a "compact" GUI version in Zbrush 3 that it's much more similar to Mudbox simple interface..

Just check out what this guy did, he claims it was all PolyPaint (make sure and click the link to the hi-res image, it looks really good): http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showth ... p?t=048743

Awesome; i remember visiting the pixologic site earlier this week and saw a notice saying the site was down until Zbrush 3 came out or something, and I was a bit blown away.

Cuz i mean, after movies like PotC there already wasn't a real end to what that program can do :D
