Well i managed to repair my old alpha archive enough to get the levels back out of it, but not the rest of the game. Being that the alpha is impossible to find anymore, i tried to load them in my retail doom 3 installation, but the textures that the levels need arent in the files. I could try again and give an exact error message, but i do know that if i open one in the editor a lot of the textures show up as missing. Any ideas on how to get them working? The editor is uber confusing to me, and likes to crash a lot. Any help would be appreciated.

Broken material shaders are usually the result of missing image files. Either edit all the broken shaders to point to files that exist or create dummy image files to take the place of the missing ones.

Outside of that, I can't guarantee any of the files use the same structure and given this is a bit of a grey area topic you're on your own.

the old alpha executable still works on my work pc (6.14.11.6344 drivers, fx5200 card).
