Hey,

I got 2 maps in progress here.

The first one is basicly updated old work for a mod i did but didnt make later level builds because it didnt fit the overall level design.

On a side note:

The mod i did those canceled enviroments for is Recall To Hell. A very promising mod by team Grid Lock being developed for several years now. Sadly enough the team has been having difficulties finishing the damn thing. Now it isnt very much a level problem, there's tons of great done level content. It's more the things that make them fun to play like gameplay mechanics, items, weapons, monsters (AI) etc... Alot of wich we have but, also alot unfinished. We realized we where to ambitious and decided to divide the mod into episodes. Now i'm sure those episodes will be released sooner or later. The mod is not dead! But it IS idling atm. I'm sure once the whole team can pick up that good old motivation again things will get out eventually. there's so much been done that may and shall not be wasted!

If you still are awaiting good old recall to hell. you can drop a support line in the forums

Second up is chapter 2 for my dbz2 level.

Blood

You can still download and enjoy chapter one if you didn't already!

It's a real shame that Recall To Hell is lying there unfinished.
I'm sorry that I don't have the time to help you with AI and scripts :(

Your maps look very good, as always

edit: the second one is too dark, I think

the doom3 engine rocks. maps like this still blow away alot of stuff coming out today with newer engines.

granted, its best for darker indoor stuff, but it looks f*cking great while doing so.

good job.

Between the lighting capabilities and GUI's alone, doom3 is an absolutely untapped gold mine for any manner of game out there. Zizz's levels are great example of what a bit of imagination can do with the tech.

The Doom3 Engine was designed for dark inside environments (95% D3 maps), and still look like the best one on these envs.
I really love the stencil shadows + projected shadows (lights maps) combination... great atmosphere!

Any updates around your work ?

Very impressive shots. The lighting is amazing and you have a particular style that feels like DOOM without copying the stock maps. The first shot is my favourite showing an attention to texture detail.

Hey guys,

Ive been pretty occupied with my work lately but im still working on these levels. Just to let you know.
The Hell map is shaping up nicely and shouldnt take too long anymore. The other one will have to wait a little longer.

Anyway still enough time untill doom4 is out
