hello,
i can't run quake 4 in windowed mode in a higher resolution than my desktop resolution.
It does automatically minimize the quake 4 window to the desktop resolution whatever r_mode setting i use. Using the latest nvidia drivers.
Is this a quake 4, graphics driver or windows problem?

I'm guessing that you're trying to stretch the window across two monitors?

Pan-@Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 4:54 pm :
No, just want to make a screenshot with high resolution.

You can take screenshots at any resolution using the following form of the screenshot command:

screenshot width height antialiasing

So rebinding the F12 like this...
Code:
bind F12 "screenshot 2048 2048 16"

...will take a 2048x2048 screenshot using 16xAA

Thank you, but this just works with the setting r_fullscreen 1.

So why not run fullscreen to take your screenshots?
