The way they play with the HUD and inventory concept strikes me as interesting.

This game looking good and promising, also loved the holographic 3d inventory etc., and the general design, dark and rusty.

I like the Hud too, it's very immersive, it keeps you in the game at all times, I'm wondering how you tell your health status. Looks like a cool game I'm going to have to check it out in October, I'm getting a 360 this fall in preparation for the coming of RE5 anyhow so now I know what I'll do with it until then.

since its in 3rd person, the player has a green glowing energy pack on his back that decreases as you get hurt. its basically a health bar on his back.

reminds me of what a thirdperson doom would like with dismemberment. I believe its hitting the pc too.

I must have missed the part about it coming to PC too, I was thinking he said 360 and ps3 only. Yeah it really reminds me of if you took Doom³ and Resident Evil 4 and mixed them together you'd have this, those are two of my favorite games btw. One thing I might not enjoy though is that it might be a little frustrating working on one monster for 15 minutes just to kill him, I hope it will have some smaller "fodder" type enemies as well so not every single battle is like a boss battle.

That looks incredible. System Shock 2-ish, but updated to current tech. What I want to know is, what do people have against huds? Lately, the trend seems to be hud == bad. are huds going the way of the dodo and becoming a relic of old-skool gaming?

(he said it will be available on the 360, ps3, & PC on the 21st (what month, I don't know) )

I think Huds are right there in front reminding people that its just a game, sometimes I turn the Hud off in Doom³ and Prey while I'm playing and it just seems to take on a whole new level of realism, I can't really explain it but it does.

I was a little worried about that too. Ironically, fodder would probably break up the monotony of shooting off limbs of boss-like battles, like in the trailer.

I thought it looks kewl, you would think if they wanted to be for it real is it add the Zero Gravity Feature the hole time, but since its a sci-fi game, and I don't know what year it is in the game I can't say much about that.

BTW Any word on a map editor or modding? If so I am going to have fun with Zero Gravity. :D

the game looks pretty cool, but I dislike the no HUD thing. Also the whole health being on your back thing and crosshair being in a weird place. Why decrease usability and visiblity? Yeah I know for realism, but it makes it a pain to keep track of stuff.
