of a movie titel, which i think, was by far the best i watched as of now; so let's conclude: its a allegory about the sun system, in where a story was aligned to every planet we found to far: moon, jupiter, mars and so one: but driven by the main actor; and u have to listen right, it was JESUS! not that beloved jesus we have to know from churches, no. more about the true wisdom lying dept in our heart, unspoiled, still listening to whats may be comming next. i know that topic is full of "what the heck he's talking about?" but i watched that movie back in 2008 on arte (god forgive me) and it was so full off metaphors and allegorys that i have really no clue where to start my search. AND; there was a scene where our "beloved" hero, let's call him jesus, was supposed to give away his freedom, his inner ego, his all or or nothing. this scene was about "all" and the "jüngers" stand behind him and weren't aware of whats the conclusin may be. k, not that easy to understand what iam trying to say here, mabye, but if somone of u has the slightest idea of what i could mean so PM me. thanks!

ah and yeah; w'r talking about 1960 to 1970 timeframe ;)

coppola? the conversation (the number one on my best film list)? apocalypse now?

anyway: the music to the "Koyaanisqatsi" (thank u for that link cuz it was quite good!) movie did remind me a little of Michael Nyman, just a little. don't want it to be ordinary!

Douglas Quaid@Posted: Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:32 am :
Nyman is top. The Promise is one of his best pieces. You should try Steve Reich's Different Trains but you may not like it. If you are used to classical music you'll enjoy it. Not to sound pompus but if you want a good music fix just ask. I've been composing for 12 years and I have a big library
