Hey guys, just wanted to pimp my company's first self-developed, self-published title, "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars":

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/907/907822p1.html

We're just a small development team trying to survive in this industry, and have been by doing so by doing contract work for other people's games, but now we are finally getting close to publishing our own game!

I got the job a couple of years ago because of my work in the Quake 4 mod community, so if anyone is still looking to break into the industry, I'd say modding is still the best way to go.

Congratulations on publication. Looks like a fun game from the pics I saw. UT3 engine must've been damn expensive to license, though.
I must admit, I find the title to be a bit stretched-out, a bit like it's obvious there was never a proper title for it and that name just kinda stuck into place over time. Just from a gamer's point of view, it turns me off a little bit, the "fun" of the title lasted only a few seconds.
Apart from that it seems like a great effort and I'd definitely like to check it out, there isn't enough "battle-car" games around these days and I say due for a massive comeback!

Wow I played a lot in the past an UT2004 mod with the same concept. It was incredibly fun.
I'd buy this for sure if I had a ps3.

Anyhow, congratulations!

sorry this is a bit off topic but: did you complete a mod for quake 4? :D i'd like to see it, did you form a game company or did you get asked to join?

on topic: wow the physics are great this looks really fun, exactly as the title suggested.

I worked on Quake 4 Fortress, it was never completed. I was brought on to Psyonix as an intern and then turned full time.

Hardly surprising, the guy leading it was only in it for the "monies". Congrats to you though. Would've got it if I had had a PS3. But as we all know, consoles are the Devil. :p
