screens that look Disturbingly Identical can be found here
http://www.ca3d-engine.de/gallery/20-techdemo

Maybe they got the textures from a 3rd party just like ID but this stuff looks disturbingly similar

Just got done sending brian harris at doom an email about this since he is the only contact I had in my address book

i'll most likely be the only one to say this, but it's not our job to find & report someone we THINK is stealing id stuff.

That looks a LOT like the Half-Life engine.

Edit: And holy shit, those additional screenshots are from the Doom 3 engine!

there's a few that i recognize as id's, but at this point i don't think they really care that much.

someone could register and post a note in the forums pointing out the error of his ways.

It's a game engine with test material in the screenshots, it's not like it's an actual game and they claim they made everything from scratch. But I do find it interesting thanks for pointing out this game engine, it looks pretty cool.

They're still giving away id assests. It says that the map is included with the engine.

Only id knows ...
if you just want to make games -> xna
this one sounds interesting too.

thing is there are a lot out there but just few are "production ready" or with a reasonable price/license.

Irrlicht is another i would like to mention - its quit funny that in the last few years some "free" possibilities where grown
to produce at least MaxPayne-generation type of games.
