I recently found that after 8 years of development, Quest for Glory II is now available for download.

Many enthusiasts of the old-school Sierra games will enjoy this updated adventure!

Oh I have missed these games. I bought the first one back when it was still called "Hero's Quest" and the first color graphic games I ever played was King's Quest on an old PCjr and 286 with a 4 color EGA screen

I still have my whole collection. Space Quest, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc. As Bittoman mentioned, Quest for Glory was originally titled "Hero's Quest"... my cousin and I both have copies with the original title. :) I ate, slept and breathed these titles in my youth. Still love them to this day. DOSBox FTW.

I wasn't impressed with the clicky-click interface that Sierra implemented until Gabriel Knight and KQ6 emerged... those were the first games of that genre that worked well with it. I guess I always will be more of a keyboard fiend than a clicker. Roots, baby. Roots.

i liked the keyboard/typing interface too. LSL7 was a good compromise imho.

all I have left is my Space Quest collection. My copy of LSL 7 is gone but most games before SQ4 were floppy.

i remember i was a huge fan of the first game. i remember being astounded at how epic it was because there seemed to be just so much to it. i finished it and was so eagerly looking forward to the sequel but then was utterly disgusted when i found out it was EGA when the rest of the industry had moved to VGA. i refused to get the game. the sequels afterwards were VGA, but since i refuse to experience things out of order, i didn't get them either so it just ruined the whole series for me. finally this situation is rectified but it's too late now because i'm too bitter.
