If you define amazing with excessive violence, then it's a homerun.

I really liked the first Rambo and still do, but from there on it's all downhill for me personally.
In contrast I greatly enjoyed the last Rocky, but this might be because I'm approaching 40 fast and seeing ageing heroes radiates some hope to the soon-to-have-mid-life-crisis folks like me ;)

that was the only negative family game me about the movie.

First one is excellent. I first saw it in feb '08. Great movie.

EDIT: My whole point of the thread has been completely missed, so I guess I'll have to come up with a video sooner then later. :)

Heh, I enjoyed the story part of it. But the fight was sort of silly, how this strapping young lad couldn't finish an aging Rocky in one round.
Though, I suppose it can be defended by Rocky's brick skull. :p

BTW; Midlife crisis is a media myth. It's the same crisis all along. ;)

Well, at some point you realize you look into the face of age and see the back of youth in the rear mirror. Or as others put it - the at some point the "I can do that later" feeling will be gone and you realize you cannot do all you wanted.

You're making me have withdrawels, I'm starting to feel cold all over and I'm twitching. I have'nt been able to play ETQW online since I moved. I'll be on again someday though.

please fill me on, I'm not familiar with a monty joke that I could be missing. :)

I put it in the ET:QW forum just so it wouldn't be TO confusing, plus I could have the 1 word title. :D

lol me either! :D

rebb@Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2008 9:25 pm :
Looks like he modded the MCP Minigun to be usable when just being on foot. I could be wrong tho ;).

aardwolf@Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2008 10:52 pm :
Everyone knows chainguns (knows as miniguns too) dont exist in real life. At least not portable ones to be used by a single person.

rebb@Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:49 pm :
Good thing that reality never stopped anyone doing something fun in a game ;).

6th Venom@Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:51 pm :
Ho ok! I don't play ETQW so i didn't noticed he was not on a vehicle's turret... :)

Kristus@Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 1:47 am :
Well, the Rambo reference was misleading in that case, throwing me off. I never saw Rambo carry a Minigun. "It's Terminator", or Jesse Ventura had probably made me understand what was seen in the pic.

The Happy Friar@Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 1:52 am :
rambo's more macho then both. There's no AK model in QW so I can't have my guy using auto-bullet lock on while flinging an AK around wildly. :D

aardwolf@Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 5:56 pm :
Anyone can look macho in a crappy hollywood action flick.

The Happy Friar@Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 5:57 pm :
crap Hollywood action flick = awesome. :D

But these aren't crappy hollywood action flicks we're talking about here. These are exceptional hollywood action flicks.
Except Rambo 2-3 (can't speak for 4, but the trailer didn't exactly make me excited about it)
Predetor 2 (had been a lot better if they hadn't cast Danny Glover as badass cop. He's like granpa Joe all over) and Terminator 3.

i've been told by friends/family that the new rambo is amazing. Haven't seen it yet though.

It's the same crisis all along. ;)
