Hello, I'm having trouble making widescreen work.
I have tried putting the settings in the config file and I did them in the console.

seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1200"
seta r_aspectratio "3"
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_fullscreen "1"

is what i used, the only thing that works is the menu mod which allows me to change it in the menu. That would be great but it doesn't work with the coop mod.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

enter those commands into the console while in game, then enter in "vid_restart". Let me know if that works, if not it should output some error or clue to why it's not working.

I did try the vid_restart after those commands, it doesn't indicate whether the commands worked; nor is there an error.
I'm not home right now, I will be shortly and will try it again.

Thanks for the help

EDIT: I just realized that I haven't tried it in game yet, just while in the menu. Not sure if this makes a diff.

Also do you enter in the " around the numbers when typing it in the console, i have been and i assume that's correct.

there is no aspect ratio "3" as far as I know...:

To change Doom 3's aspect ratio to suit your widescreen monitor or projector, type in: r_aspectratio N, where N is some of the following numbers:

0 - 4:3 (standard monitor / TV)
1 - 16:9 (widescreen movies ratio)
2 - 16:10 (some monitors are 16:10)

put this in your autoexec.cfg

seta r_fullscreen "1"
seta r_displayrefresh "--" (your value)
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_aspectratio "2"
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1200"

It worked! Pretty sure it was the fact I was using "3" instead of "2" for my aspect ratio.

Thanks for the help!!
