hi, i am making a stargate mod for quake 4
I am planning on creating many missions based off the show stargate sg1 and stargate atlantis.

I need someone who can model and animate characters from the shows Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.

Not bad, but that map looks kinda empty and box(y). I hope it's not the final.
You should add a teleportation effect while teleporting through the gates.

Thats an interesting project, I like Stargate. If you need I can help you with GUIS and music.

As for the gate opening closing, thats not easy. The problem is to make a believable wave that come out from the gate.

Particles seems the obivious way, but it doesn't look good as you want, maybe another way is to make a custom md5 model animated that simulate the wave and the particle effect.

For the gate closing thats shuold be the easiest part. You know about the corpse disappearing of the strogg, you can use that effect on the gate texture with shaderparms.

Make a circular plane with say 10 rows and columns, animate it with the 'noise' plug-in in 3dsMax over say 16 frames.
User der_tons 'general MD5 exporter' to export it to MD5. (Search this forum for it).
