"I have an itch to make a Kinect title for Xbox Live." That's what id Software's resident technology guru, John Carmack, told Joystiq during an interview conducted today, though he admits, "I don't even know what I'd want to do yet."

"I can't use Kinect for our real games; there just isn't a place for our current FPSes on there," Carmack said. "But it's an interesting technology, and an Xbox Live game would be the perfect platform to do something like that on, at about the same scale of [a game for] an iOS device."

I guess it won't be an FPS

next year there will be kinect games which also use the controller too. That could make for an interesting fps experience. You could do simple movements for dodging, leaning, ducking, reloading, etc. Voice commands could also be intergrated for controlling AI team mates.

A Kinect rail shooter... I'm game!

The coolest thing would be a Kinect adaption of Radiant with 3D goggles - that would create some Matrixesque moments, or more modern, you'll be the architect in Inception :-)
I don't see why this shouldn't be posdible as a hack on the PC.

The currently available Kinect hacks are already very impressive - most notably the 3D cam thing.

I do not mind that information :) no matter is it going to be game for kids or new hardcore fps game. Kinetic is simple popular now.
