what is the monstersetting for
making a monster going towards a noise you made
it could be an explosion an gunshot impact knocking on a wall with a flashlight

so that the monster is going towards that spot of that sound you made
and can i add a sound for it ?

monsters, by default, will head towards a sound the player makes unless they're told to ambush.

To have the monster play a sound when it is triggered (that's what it's called when they are activated), make a sound entity, apply a sound, make it tiggerable & then connect the monster to the sound.

if they hear a sound:
does this mean that you've been spotted ?
couse in my mod
commes :
1 - the monsters heared a sound = not in attack mode yet
2 - heading to a sound you made = the monsters didn't spot you yet nor attack you
3 - you've been spotted the monsters go in attack mode

my mod is based upon sneaking
if you're spotted you're allmost good as dead

yes, if you make a noise a monster generally hears you (except walking, & I think firing grenade & swinging flashlight, but they can see your flashlight beam). Setting a monster to "ambush" requires them to see you vs just hear you.

I *think* the visportal brush's block sounds too, so you can set it up so monsters in room A can't hear you if you're in Room B.
