These unloadable textures are just scraps left by the developers. Use those which can be loaded.

Is your map saved in Prey\base\maps? If it's there, but the game still can't load it, then the problem is in the file access rights in your OS or security software.

Other than this suggestion, I can't help because I've never heard about that problem. I've just renamed a small map to test_map.map, opened it in Preditor, clicked bsp->bsp, then launched it from the game and it worked fine.

emm, well,my game is installed od E:\ drive, but there is another prey folder on C:\ drive called Prey, both this folders have base director, but packs are only in E:\Prey\base directory,BTW,this problem is not been in DoomEdit, only in Preditor, but i want to create a map for Prey because i don't very like Doom 3

NX-317@Posted: Mon Mar 28, 2011 12:20 pm :
If I recall correctly, c:\prey\base is the Preditor's default autosave path. You should save your maps in E:\Prey\base\maps

emm,it don't saving any maps in E:\prey\base\maps directory when i trying to save it,well, can you tell me,how you configured your paths in Preditor? i mean,in Project settings tab =)

But that's where the maps should go! What error message it shows when you try to save?

As for the project settings tab, I've never bothered to open it. I just hit file->save As and saved my maps in the game's base\maps folder. It has paths "c:\prey...", but I guess it's not a problem for me since I don't have the c:\ drive.

nightquaker@Posted: Mon Mar 28, 2011 12:37 pm :
yay,i solved this problem =) i changed a main Preditor's base folder, that been on C:\prey\base to E:\prey\base where my game is installed,so,it works now =)

Good to know :) . There are very few Prey maps available, so release of a new map would be wonderful.
