The Co-Op not will be present, in the Doom 3 PC, i don't know why they don't just convert the already made XBox co-op into D3 PC and well, i supose for new PS3 and XBox 360 its made the co-op, but i don't know, but really, i don't like the direction is taking this BFG Edition, because also, is not going to be compatible with mods, or there will be any easy way to just update all mods maybe ?¿?

What i think is better is that they make the zombies that was too human looking more like the most zombies, more evil, because i never like that humanized zombies, but is my personal taste, also i would recommend to Id, that in the kitchen they put some fat man, so that fat zombies have an excuse to appear in the game, because really, there is not any fat human on the original game, oh, and i hope that the new flashlight casts shadows and everything on the game, because that was one of the most well know features of the IdTech4 original Doom 3 game from 2004.

dead bodies can fill up with gas as they decompose.

that was my rationale anyways...

That's just it ! And it's the main reason behind the new title: Doom 3 BFG Edition actually stands for Doom 3 Big Fraggin' Gas Edition.

some more bfg chat here...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIr2U92n ... re=related

reworked sounds, they changed some scene that "weren't good or fun" and in another one I've read they also changed how the lost souls behave, making them less "annoying"....oh and imps spawn less on ones back, also less "annoying"....

curious now at how all that works out in the end....

So they brighted it up and dumbed it down?

I've had a period where I was so scared shitless by Doom3 that I had nightmares while I was asleep.
I miss those days.. :)

*Here's keeping my fingers crossed they don't screw it up!

exactly, but hey they call it making it more accessible...to the consoles casuals...

so let's recap:

-brighted up
-more ammo ()
-less annoying moments and monsters ?
-flashlight mod without the possibility to switch between weapon and flashlight anymore.
-autosaves - means probably no quicksaves anymore
-reworked sounds ? means probably just the proper 5.1 treatment
-7 new levels ...of recycled material...
-you gotta fight the cyberdemon with the bfg instead of soul cube...
-no mod support at least on release...but seeing how things turned out for Rage, probably no mod support period, I am surely not trusting Willits on this...
-no mp for Doom1 and 2 on PC
-no co-op
-improved visuals ? ...if you say so...
-consolized version on PC ? yes....
-oh 3d support and occulus support for those 4 people who will take advantage of that...

so really, I'll just wait for a steam sale to play the new levels, that's it....

Yes, i will do the same, with this "qualities" i think i am fine with my current Doom 3 + mods, if i buy this now will only get a DOWNGRADE, so i don't buy again another STEP BACK product anymore, you have right, @vertex007 :(

I'm actually quite looking forward to the lost mission. New Doom 3 levels by id? Yes please.

Actually i am specially interested in The Lost Mission map pack, of course, i am going to buy Doom 3 BFG, whatever i said, its a good investment and even RAGE its a game i am not going to sell, just now, i want find and buy Wolfentein 2, maybe Brink and for sure Doom 4 after i buy D3 BFG and by the way i ask me if that new mission packs would run on current Doom 3 with little modification so i can play that using my mods, oh and later i will buy Prey 2, but only if is made with IdTech engine, if is made with Unreal or something so plastic looking, then can go to Hell !!!

I was read is Not cancelled, just they need more time for finish the game, because Bethesda publishers where not satisfied enough with the quality of the game.

And really, if we look the previous Prey, this also was full of bugs, and the combat interaction with the melee monsters was null, they just go in front you and bit you, attack you fast without do anything more, they was not any fan to combat.

(Sorry for get out of context.)
