Having this weird problem with a few models when using high def textures + meshes.
pinky is all black same goes for skeletons not sure what causes this but damn annoying so any help would be great.

If you're using the meshes I put out then it's probably because their shaders aren't defined in the md5's. You can use the stock meshes help with that though there will still be some trial and error when you have multple sections with an equal number of tris. And to make it a little easier matching between the two, the high ploy meshes have exactly four times the tris.

I've seen this problem many times before where some would say their models are all black, anytime that happens it would be because the texture path is incorrect, the console log would usually say 'couldn't load so and so, and therefore describe what paths are wrong. and even then the paths need to be correctly entered in either md5's ,.ase's or .lwo's, it's not diffucult to remedy, but can often be annoying for anyone starting out. :wink:

Checked paths and the textures are in the correct place also no errors in the console log not even warnings which is why it baffles me abit.

It only happens on some select models all others work just fine.

Checked the meshes btw and it seems to be ok hmm :?

Actually id prefer if it would throw an error so i could hunt down this bug :lol:

Try setting "image_useprecompressedtextures 0", and if those surfaces are no longer black, it's an issue with the DDS images.

Hmm no still black :( can this be caused by incorrectly sized textures for the models ? since i noticed some had weird non power of two sizes.
