__MaX__@Posted: Sun May 07, 2006 6:12 pm : I've converted the ms of der ton to a macroscript... in order to have it on the interface :
http://kaiderenphp.free.fr/scripts/Macro_MD5Tools.rar
Put it in the macroscript folder of 3dsmax... go to customize UI. Create a new bar in the toolbar tab and select Main UI in "group", after that, seasrch for MD5Tools in category and drag and drop the two items in your freshly created bar. Enjoy.
Soulburned@Posted: Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:26 am : http://www.milkshape3d.com/ Milkshape 3d site not only has a great modelling animation program for extremely cheap, they have an impressive list of plugins for it that allow users to import and export major 3d design packages including Autodesk max, Maya, lightwave, etc.. and a small army of plugins for import/export to all the popular game engines, check out the list of games you can import models from/ export models to!
http://developer.nvidia.com/page/tools.html Nvidia has some really awesome tools to help modders too! especially those interested in getting more into programming for things like shaders and graphics scripting. Animate textures, layer and bake textures together, dynamics morphing etc... as well as a cool plugin available for the latest versions of max and maya to allow the use of DDS files as textures.

clintonman@Posted: Mon Mar 19, 2007 1:11 am : I am currently working on plugins for trueSpace7 and Lightwave.
There is a mesh importer for truespace there is no skeleton or animation so it's more like a model viewer than importer.
The lightwave importer works but it doesn't correct for the fact that doom3 has Z up and lightwave has Y up. I'll fix that part after I make a working export plugin.

der_ton@Posted: Mon Mar 19, 2007 10:10 pm : Nice, thanks!
I added your links to the tools list.
For discussion about your LW plugin, you might also want to post a new thread in the LW subforum, this sticky thread wouldn't be the right place for that.
rich_is_bored@Posted: Tue Mar 20, 2007 1:15 am : Yes, very nice. Kinda makes me wish I held on to my copy of Lightwave.
kensvehla@Posted: Mon May 14, 2007 5:17 pm : I've just found this MEL Script for MD5's for Maya but I haven't been able to get it to work. The script loads fine and seems to run alright until I get a shader error. I haven't figured out why but I was darn excited to find a Maya Plugin for MD5's and thought I'd share it.
